A scrollcase was a cylindrical leather case designed to hold and organize scrolls.[1][2]
Description[]
Most typical scrollcases were shaped like cylindrical tubes. They could hold between five and ten loose pages of paper or parchment, such as scrolls or maps. In the late 15th century DR, they sold for 1 gp.[2]
Scrollcases sold by Aurora's Emporium were specially designed to organize scrolls, in addition to simply protecting them. They consisted of a large 2-foot-long (60 centimeters) strip of leather with individual pockets that stacked up to fifteen scrolls in order, with each scroll's title easily visible for quick reference. They could be rolled out into cylinders for easy and secure transportation. These special scrollcases came at a price of 5 gp.[1]
