Sense shifting was an alteration spell used by wizards.[1][2][3]

Effects[]

This spell allowed the caster to affect the color, sound or visual appearance of any subsequent elementary spell that they cast within the spell's duration. These sensory changes did not have any effect on the spell's general function, but a wizard could achieve quite a spectacular spell display with some creativity. It should be noted that though the sensory output of a spell could be changed, it could not be removed completely. Thus, it was possible to cast a dim fireball, but not an invisible one.[1][2]

Components[]

In addition to verbal and somatic components, this spell required a twist of multicolored ribbon with a small silver bell to cast.[1][2]
