Summary[edit | edit source]

The righteous man summons a demon to take out his enemies. Riven, his lieutenant, savages the ritual as he is a spy for those rivals and flees. The demon the takes over the body of the silent man to survive in the realm after which the demon summons minor demons and ghouls to deal havoc on Sembia. The Uskevren family is attacked. Defending the family, Tazzy is injured and near death.
