The Shadow Tongue was a crime ring operating in Laothkund during the late 14th century DR.[1]
Structure[]
The leader of the Shadow Tongue was the necromancer Sathra. A smaller section operating as the higher-ups within the organization took the name of the Shadow Cadre.[1]
Base of Operations[]
The Shadow Tongue had a lair in Laothkund.[2] There was a vault in the building, which served as Sathra's base of operations.[3]
Activities[]
In 1375 DR, the Shadow Tongue were involved in protection rackets, traffic in infernal drugs, illicit slave trade in children, and a scheme to implicate the members of the ruling council in a conspiracy with Thay.[1]
History[]
The leader of the Shadow Tongue, the necromancer Sathra, had called for the theft of the sword Angul by midwinter of the Year of Risen Elfkin, 1375 DR. After the thief Gage stole it back from them, Sathra decided to pursue the thief and the blade's rightful owner into the Yuirwood,[4] where she was slain by Kiril Duskmourn.[5]
