Shaggybark tree was a long-living and sprawling species of tree native to the Malatran Plateau of Kara-Tur.[1]

Habitats[]

The saru village that fell under the effects of a strange curse in the Year of Discovery was built around a massive shaggybark tree.[1] The Sumbuki tribe of shu in the Rayana Savanna was built in the shade of another huge ancient shaggybark. The tribe built platforms on the tree that offered a scienic view of the area and the village. The great tree was stricken by a bolt of lightning in the Year of Gathering Darkness, damaging the platform, but the shaggybark survived.[2] The platform was repaired shortly after and used by the shu to perform wedding ceremonies.[3]

Usages[]

Shaggybark tree wood was an exotic export found in the city of Ravens Bluff. The elite transportation company from the City of Ravens, Mercury Limited used spokes rolled in shaggybark branches in the construction of their carriages.[4]
