Spendthrift Alley was an alley in the Trades Ward of Waterdeep that had developed into a major street by the mid 14th century DR.[1]
Geography[]
This road opened east off of the High Road, passing through Vellarr's Lane and the Street of the Tusks, then terminated at Rivon Street. Along the way, the road Mhaer's Alley jut off north from it.[2] The length of Spendthrift was lined with streetlamps.[1]
Notable Locations[]
- Dating back to its time as an alley,[1] Spendthrift was lined with a bazaar of stalls and street vendors that operated day and night. These sold a variety of minor goods, trinkets, and food[1][3] at cheap prices.[1] The bazaar was frequently crowded, putting people at a small risk of falling victim to a thief.[1][3]
- Costumers' Hall, the guildhall of the Order of Master Taylors, Glovers, and Mercers.[4][5]
