Storm's swordfire was an offensive wizard spell created by Storm Silverhand.[1][2]
Effects[]
This spell caused single-bladed weapons to ignite with fire when touched by the caster. The flames did not damage or mar the weapon in any way during the spell's duration. The magical flames raced up and down the blade.[1][2]
The magical flames burned anything struck with the blade and were particularly dangerous to undead. The caster could make the flames disappear at any time during the spell's duration, but could not make them reappear.[1][2]
Components[]
In addition to verbal and somatic components, this spell required as material components a weapon, a lump of saltpeter the size of the caster's mouth, and either a lodestone or a magnetic piece of metal to cast. The lodestone and saltpeter were consumed when the spell was cast.[1][2]
