This article requires cleanup. Reason: This article needs to reconcile the differences between Giantcraft and the Monster Manuals. Please discuss this issue on the talk page and improve it if you can. This article has been tagged since 00:34, August 11, 2016 (UTC). |
Template:Creature/elemental Storm giants were extremely intelligent giants who lived on cloud islands. Their vision was adapted to underwater conditions, where they saw equally as well as they did in the air.[1] They spoke Jotunuvar and Jotun.[2]
Description
A storm giant stood about 26 feet tall and weighed over 3,000 lbs. They tended to wear fine tunics and belted sandals.
There were two ethnicities of storm giants; most had pale, light green skin and dark green hair and eyes, but a small number had violet skin, dark blue hair, and silver eyes.[3]
Abilities
Storm giants were responsible for throwing lightning bolts across mountain peaks.[4]
Society
The head of a storm giant tribe's ordning was called a "paramount".[5]
In storm giant society, any act of mercy or charity towards a sentient being was seen as good.[6]
Subraces
Thousands of years ago, a band of storm giants was cast out and imprisoned in the Underdark, where they became maurs, or hunched giants. Incredibly pale and so malformed that they could even stand up straight, they struggled to retain their storm giant culture while scratching out a meager existence underground.[7]
