Stormbanner Hold, also known as Rogarsheim, was a stronghold at the Northlander capital of Rogarsheim on the island of Norland in the Moonshae Isles. It was the seat of power for the Kingdom of Norland.[1][2]

Structure[]

Stormbanner Hold was a huge, rectangular wooden lodge that was constructed around a previously existing circular stone tower of Ffolk construction.[1][3] The walls were made of sturdy timbers, and averaged three tree trunks in thickness crossed by perpendicular logs for reinforced strength. From the exterior, these walls were intricately decorated with ornamental carvings, most of which depicted the heads of bears, boars, walruses, wolves, and other fearsome beasts. It had a high, peaked roof.[3] It was an overall magnificent structure[1] that clearly served as a mighty fortress and a royal abode.[3]

Interior[]

Visitors to the lodge were greeted by the hearth.[3]

Inhabitants[]

King Grunnarch the Red ruled Norland from the lodge as of the Year of the Snow Winds, 1335 DR.[3]

Jarl Rault "the Wise" ruled Norland from Stormbanner Hold in the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR. Others living within the lodge included the jarl's family (such as his son and heir, Olfsvenn), his trusted advisors, and his bodyguards.[1]
