The Street of Steel was a prominent avenue located in the City of Brass on the Elemental Plane of Fire in 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

The ring of hammers on steel dominated this avenue as azer smiths pounded out metallic weapons and armor for the efreeti legions. The azer worked around the clock for the Sultan who would not allow them to take commissions from ins without his explicit permission, which he only gave on rare occasions.[1]
