The Swordmaiden was one of the colossal Walking Statues of Waterdeep and its remains could be found in the North Ward of Waterdeep.[1]

Description[edit | edit source]

This statue resembled a female version of the Honorable Knight walking statue.[1]

Locations[edit | edit source]

By 1492 DR,[note 1] the statue's head was a shop known as Thort's Findings, located in a city square between Hassantyr's Street, Tarsar's Street, Whaelgond Way, and Ussilbran Street.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the Spellplague, in the Year of Blue Fire, 1385 DR, the walking statue appeared and rampaged through the city. When stopped, the residents of Waterdeep's North Ward dismantled it and used its pieces for construction.[1]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Canon material does not provide a year for the events described in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, but Christopher Perkins answered a question via Twitter and stated the year was 1492 DR. Corroborating this, Dragon Heist page 20 refers to events of Death Masks (set in 1491 DR) as being "last year". Unless a canon source contradicts this assertion, this wiki will use 1492 DR for events related to this sourcebook and Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage (which is referenced on pages 5 and 98 of Dragon Heist).
