The Sylph language was the racial language of sylphs, a type of fey,[1][2] that was noted for having a musical quality to it.[1]

Speakers[]

Beyond sylphs themselves, Sylph was a common secondary language among some planewalkers[3] and druids devoted to certain nature deities.[4][5][6][7][8] These included the druids of Chauntea,[4][9] druids of Eldath,[5] druids and druid/rangers of Mielikki,[6] the druids of Silvanus,[7] and druids of Shiallia.[8] Other forms of specialty priests in the Realms for whom Sylph was a commonly known secondary language included the Eldathyn peacemen[5] and the Shiallian woodwives.[8]
