The Battle of Bryn Shander Citation[]

The first event listed in 1351 DR, Heafstaag and the barbarians failing to conquer Termalaine, could be changed to Battle of Bryn Shander. The citation also needs to be adjusted. While the event itself can be cited from Salvatore's The Crystal Shard, the date appears to be extrapolated from Akar Kessell's acquisition of Crenshinibon (an event that happens in the same book in parallel to the battle, the year of which is apparently found in The Grand History of the Realms. The Battle of Bryn Shander page also needs a similar update to its citation for the same reason. I am new to the FR wiki, and I have not read The Grand History of the Realms, so I am both unsure of the proper method of citing such an extrapolation and also cannot confirm that the year is truly 1351 DR. I've revised the entry to avoid the confusing focus on Termalaine and refer to the battle more generally. Apart from that, I'm not what issue you are trying to raise. This is correctly dated and cited. The Crystal Shard's opening chapters are officially dated to 1351 DR by Grand History and the official novel timeline. ~ BadCatMan, Chief Scribe 02:56, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
The issue I was raising is that the cited source does not mention the year. I don't think it would be too cluttered to add how the year was determined, especially if it's as simple as being plainly stated in another source (although on a page such as this one, for the date itself, I can see it ballooning to become an issue). However, I am new to this wiki and not very experienced in wiki editing in general. You appear to have a lot of experience and expertise under your belt, so I will defer to your judgement. I definitely appreciate your edits, and for your explanation! RealityFabric (talk) 06:10, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
