Height and Weight[]
I'm only spelling this out in the interest of settling the issue of height and weight range. The numbers have been changed a couple times and the ranges on the page were mistaken. They've been corrected according to the following reasoning.
The source for these numbers is Races of Faerûn, page 9.
Males have a base height of 2'8" or 32 inches. A range of 2d4" is added to that, making the range 34-40" or 2'10" to 3'4".
Females have a base height of 2'4" or 28 inches. A range of 2d4" is added to that, making the range 30-36" or 2'6" to 3'0".
When calculating their weight, you only multiply 1d4 lbs by the inches added to their base height... not the total height. This is explained, with an example, in the 3.5 PH on page 109, and on page 93 of the 3e PH.
Males have a base weight of 50 lbs. A range of (1-4 lbs x the added inches) is added to that, making the range 2-32 lbs. Adding these numbers to the base 50 yields a total weight range of 52-82 lbs.
Females have a base weight of 40 lbs. A range of (1-4 lbs x the added inches) is added to that, making the range 2-32 lbs. Adding these numbers to the base 50 yields a total weight range of 42-72 lbs. :) Wanderscribe (talk) 21:54, February 14, 2013 (UTC)
