Possibly this should be called the Battle of Myth Nantar, saving the name 'Assault on Myth Nantar' for the Adventurer's league module? One problem with calling it a Battle, however, is that there are several earlier battles that take place in Myth Nantar. I can think of at least 4 since 1370 DR:
1) The battles of Iakhovas in the Twelth Seros War 2) The battle involving the dragon flight during The Queen of the Depths Novel 3) The battle involving the forces of Dagon and the Eldest in 4th edition 4) The battle involving the Red Wizards of Thay
Possibly these could be labeled 'The First Battle of Myth Nantar', 'The Second Battle of Myth Nantar', and so on?
- The trouble with First, Second, etc. is that they can imply these are official names and that there were no other comparable attacks, or that they were related conflicts. In lieu of any proper name for this battle, the phrase used by the module, "attack on Myth Nantar", is fine as a description. It should be in lower-case because it's only our description, not an official name. "Thayan attack on Myth Nantar" might be better, but it's not a big difference. So, yeah, "attack on Myth Nantar" is fine for now until the other conflicts are detailed and disambiguation might be needed. BadCatMan (talk) 11:36, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
- Sounds good! These are all good points. And yes they are not official names. I like "Thayan attack on Myth Nantar" but we can keep it as is until I get around to detailing the other attacks. I appreciate all the help and guidance BadCatMan WendolynCK (talk) 13:35, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
