Conflicting information[]
The brown dragons represented in this article are the ones portrayed on p.38-39 of the 3rd edition Realms-specific Monsters of Faerûn. The 4th edition core Draconomicon: Chromatic Dragons lists brown dragons on p.168-170, but this description is so different that it makes me wonder if the two types of "brown dragon" are related in any way. Well, FR is not core. Things in the Realms(or any setting) are a bit different then the published generic core D&D. I would say a FR reference trumps a Core reference. This won't be liked by many 4E fans, of course, as they want all the cool core stuff in the Realms. I guess you could just say the Spellplague changed the brown dragons, after all they used that excuse to destroy or 'just change the world for the better'.(Bloodtide 03:29, October 25, 2010 (UTC))
