Darksong Knight and substitution classes[]
Should Cavatina be listed as a fighter or a Darksong Knight? The source lists her as the later but upon investigation that class appears to be using the Substitution level system, whereby certain traits of a class (e.g. fighter) are swapped out for more thematic abilities. I'll treat it as it's own class for now but I'm curious what the general thoughts are on substitution classes. This might spawn lots of bespoke subclasses though so I'm not sure what is best.--Eli the Tanner (talk) 19:13, March 10, 2014 (UTC)
- I'd rather not see our categories become so fiddly (or much more fiddly than they already are). I'd say she's just a Fighter 8, with a slight variation. If the class line could say [[Fighter|Fighter (Darksong Knight)]] 8, with categories Category:Fighters of 8th level (3e) and Category:Fighters (3e), that would be great. — BadCatMan (talk) 09:43, March 11, 2014 (UTC)
- That's sounds like a good idea. I didn't want to have to deal with substitution classes personally. I'll give it a go. Thanks BadCatMan.--Eli the Tanner (talk) 10:55, March 11, 2014 (UTC)
