Again, I rephrased what I found copied from page 27 of Land of Fate. Did I miss something? Daranios (talk) 14:23, October 21, 2012 (UTC)

Categorization?[]
How should the Zakharan groups of cities be categorized: As settlements, locations, or regions, or...?
I am having a hard time deciding. The names like Cities of the Ancients always refer to the cities = city-states, so that would rather be settlements. Only a little is said about the surroundings in the source material. But then the source material in general focusses on the cities, and the designations separate Zakhara nicely into regions. So what would we have:
- Cities of the Heart region = the Heart of Zakhara
- North Zakhara (Free Cities + Qudra + Corsair Domains)
- Cities of the Pearl region
- Cities of the Pantheon region = League of the Pantheon
- Cities of the Ancients region = Ruined Kingdoms (of Zakhara) (including Afyal and Sahu)
- Haunted Lands
- High Desert
- Crowded Sea
- (the Land of the Yak-Men, the Jungle of Monsters and the World Pillar Mountains constitute the border region towards Fâerun and Kara-Tur)
In this regard, regions suit me fine with one problem where I have no solution: "Cities of the Ancients" strictly speaking refers only to the cities; "Cities of the Ancients region" sounds a bit cumbersome.
Any thoughts? Daranios (talk) 19:10, October 26, 2012 (UTC)
- Daran, I wish FW would log and give his two cents before I finish organizing the areas in Zakhara... overall, I like the set up... we could change the Cities of the Ancients to the Ruin Kingdoms region and just have the Cities of the Ancients be a redirect and an alias of the area... or we could create a set up similar to Faerûn with North Zakhara, Northwest Zakhara... but then the Cities of the Blank would be... of course, I have already begun completing the locations in Zakhara as you have proposed above... hmmm... any thoughts... anyone?
