I wanted to "dispute" the "flows through the Western Heartlands" part, but I'm not sure how to insert a dispute tag. Normally, I'd just make the change, but I'm here at work and so I can't cite the source. --Fizzygoo 00:44, 30 July 2007 (UTC) I'm not sure you can dispute the flows through the Western Heartlands part...as the river does. The river goes all the way to the Sword Coast, past Secomber, the High Moor, Daggerford and the Laughing Hollow. All of thoes places are in the Western Heartlands. True the rive is at the extreme northen tip of the Western Heartlands, and does not go 'through' the perfect center of the Western Hartlands...but then no river is perfect.(Bloodtide)

My dispute would be that the Delimbiyr is the "default" northern border of the Western Heartlands and the southern border of the North as all the places you mention are at the northern end of the Western Heartlands. My reasons are as follows:
"'The North' is a term Cormyrians and Dalesfolk use to refer to the lands west of Anauroch and north of the High Moor." (FRCS p165) The Delimbiyr is north of the High Moor.
"The Savage Frontier includes the lands north of the Delimbiyr..." (FRCS p168) This passage clearly makes the river a border.
Waterdeep is included in the North section of the FRCS.
"The Western Heartlands cover a vast area between...and the Sword Coast south of Waterdeep," (FRCS p222) While not clear, this passage indicates that the border is somewhere south of Waterdeep, but does not indicate whether it is south of the city of Waterdeep, or the small region of Waterdeep, nor does it indicate "how far" south it is.
"Daggerford operates in Waterdeep's long shadow." (FRCS p227) Indicating that either Daggerford is a part of Waterdeep's protectorate or that, at the very least, it is a "border town".
"Secomber is either the northernmost settlement of the Western Heartlands or the first village of the North, depending on who draws the map." (FRCS p228) So, debating the Delimbiyr's role as a border between these two regions isn't out of the ordinary :)
Descriptions of the Delimbiyr occur in the books Waterdeep and the North (p6) and The Savage Frontier (p 46)

If you'd say that the river Delimbiyr is the border of the Western Heartlands and the Savage North, then I'd say it is in both thoes regions. Though we should add all this dispute stuff to the article too. (Bloodtide)

Sounds good. --Fizzygoo 03:49, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
