I propose splitting (or rather, de-merging) this article into Drow language and Drow Sign Language (or whatever the most appropriate name should be). There is a clearly a vast difference in the nature of the spoken and signed drow languages, with words in one unlikely to exist in the other and so on. Moreover, characters will learn one, or the other, or both, and have these represented in their stats as different languages in multiple editions, so there's clearly a mechanical difference as well. Having separate pages will allow each to be detailed effectively. Finally, the original merger was done long ago with no discussion that I can find, so it feels misguided. ~ BadCatMan, Chief Scribe 12:55, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

I’m in favor of splitting them. If not, it seems like it would at least make sense to move the existing page to “Drow languages”. - Arodp88 (talk) 13:04, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
agreed ~ Lhynard (talk) 16:05, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
I think it sounds like a great idea. - SunderedShor (talk) SunderedShor (talk) 18:56, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, I've split the article and restored Drow Sign Language (the most recent version of the name that I could find, as of 5e's Dragon Heist). I'll begin expanding that page. For the record, there was a little discussion re: deleting the page at Talk: Drow Sign Language. ~ BadCatMan, Chief Scribe 09:03, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
