The FRPG seems to indicate they're the same thing - dwarves who defend their homes against the evils of another land. Likewise, earthheart defenders have to be defenders (specifically fighters or paladins) who are dwarven.

- Never mind, Martial Power includes a different paragon path with the name "dwarven defender." Obviously Eartheart Defenders are particular to East Rift. Niirfa-sa 20:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
