Where is it said that he was a Nabassu? Surely not in the novel Evermeet and so far I know it is the only source where something is mentioned about Haeshkarr. Historicus 16:14, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
It's true that Evermeet novel does not use the word 'Nabassu'. However, Haeshkarr's description exactly matches that of a Nalfeshnee, see MM3E page 45 for example. So Haeshkarr is either a Nalfeshnee or a demon that looks exactly like one in every way... (Bloodtide 01:38, October 24, 2009 (UTC))
- Does it match it exactly? A Nafeshnee has "ridiculously tiny wings" not batlike wings and it does not have two pairs of arms, like described in Evermeet. In my opinion we should left it vague. I would not define it as Nalfeshnee nor as Nabassu, just mention that the description matches a bit with the ones of the Nalfeshnee and Nabassu and besides also a Glabrezu. As long as we do not have a clear answer to this, it is better left unkown what he really was. Historicus 20:17, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
In "Elves of Evermeet", a 2nd edition accessory, in Kethryllia Amarillis entry:
"(...) Her lover, Anarallath, was a cleric of Labelas Enoreth, but ran afoul of the tanar'ri and was carried off to the Abyss by the nabassu Haeshkarr. Taking up her enchanted sword, Dharasha, Kethryllia set off for the Abyss."
According to Mrs. Elaine Cunningham, who wrote "Evermeet: Island of the Elves":
"The entry you quoted was the inspiration for the chapter detailing the Kethryllia legend, so you can assume that the description of the demon was correct - at least, it was correct under second edition rules."
