Talk: Shadowdancer

I don't know exactly what should go on this page, but it is definitely wrong; the 3.5e/pathfinder class can be taken by anybody with the appropriate skill ranks and feats, and the 5e reference that says the class is for monks - which is probably where the non-chaotic bit comes from - seems to be a confusion between Shadowdancer and the 5e monk subclass Way of Shadow. 106.71.30.235 05:37, May 13, 2020 (UTC)

Monks of th Way of Shadow are explicitly called shadowdancers in the Player's Handbook 5th edition. In fact, many of their abilities are identical to the 3e prestige class (moreso than ninjas, which is the other name the tradition goes by in the PHB. Looking at this page again, I believe it should be renamed "Way of Shadow", with Shadowdancer as the AKA. "Way of Shadow" originates from a 5e Realms-specific source, while shadowdancer originates from two vanilla sources. The Realms-specific wording should take precendence. Fair point. But I would say that SCAG as a sourcebook would take precedence over BG:EE as a video game. I don't want to remove mention of shadowdancers mind you, just rename the article and add shadowdancer as an AKA in the header paragraph. Ruf (talk) 13:00, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
