Golden Gorger: Title or Name?[]
Going through the citations for the article, the only mention of "Golden Gorger" is in A Reader's Guide to R. A. Salvatore's the Legend of Drizzt, where it precedes the name Suntunavick. Siege of Darkness only refers to him as Suntunavick, and there's no mention at all of him in The Grand History of the Realms (aside from mention of the svirfneblin assisting Mithral Hall on page 144 - not 142 - in the Battle of Keeper's Dale, but that's irrelevant at the moment).
I'm willing to wager that Golden Gorger is a religious title granted to the clergy of Segojan Earthcaller, similar to that of Shar's Nightseers. And though I'll grant you R.A. Salvatore has given a lot of his characters peculiar names, Golden Gorger just feels like more of a title than a name. Unfortunately, the various sourcebooks describing the pantheons are a little lacking when it comes to Segojan, so we don't have a list of his followers' titles. Demihuman Deities states on page 156: "Novices of Segojan are known as the Unearthed. Full priests of the Lord of Burrows are known as Earthcallers. In ascending order of rank, the titles used by Segojian priests are Shrew, Mole, Vole, Ermine, Groundhog, Wolverine, Badger, and Aurumvorax. High-ranking priests have unique individual titles.
