Cleanup[]
There are a whole load of lists on this page and not a great deal of article. I have begun to clean it up, but hopefully we can come up with a great, well-cited article instead of just a portal that links to content elsewhere on the web. Fw190a8 23:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Filling in blanks[]
I made a minor addition to the article describing the landscape of the Underdark. I hope to add more information in the future from the Underdark CS.
I also made a small start in describing the domains. Caelis Moonflower 01:03, 16 September 2007 (CET)
Deleted external link[]
I've deleted the external link on the Drow since it's dead. RIP. Gabeth 05:57, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
what is this common noun thing?[]
So, apparently race names need to be in lower case because they are "common nouns"? Since when this is a thing? Names are always capitalized in english. --MrTTAO (talk) 07:45, July 9, 2017 (UTC)
- It's just like we write cat, dog, frog, human, elf, dwarf. The aboleth, cloaker, mind flayer, and so on are all written the same way. They're names of species, not nationalities. — BadCatMan (talk) 08:22, July 9, 2017 (UTC)
That video(s)[]
Okay, I know about that video thing by wikia. Anyhow, until now I've only seen clips that perhaps used some odd stuff but at least reflected the article's topic.
But here? Underdark – and a video about some Netflix queer series is played? Oh, I see. Has changed while writing this. Now somebody explains differences between Marvel and DC. Now, really related … Does Wikia now that this is pure advertising? -- CompleCCity -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 20:51, August 12, 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, advertising was their stated intention from the start, unfortunately. The videos are an excuse to include video advertising and FANDOM puff pieces, so you might get an advertising clip at the start or be led to other things under the FANDOM umbrella after watching. We had no choice in it, of course.
- This Underdark video was actually decent, others have been very sloppily made, and we had to call to get rid of them. We have no control over the videos, but we've started providing scripts and images for new videos (which they still haven't made) and arranged to outsource video creation to the Faerûn History channel on Youtube (and now have some of these). I gather most readers ignore them. — BadCatMan (talk) 06:14, August 13, 2018 (UTC)
why the past tense?[]
everything on this wiki is written in past tense even when speaking about present times, is there a reason for it?
- The wiki is written in narrative past these. See the Wiki's policies under the "Help" tap at the top of the screen. -Artyom.pavlov (talk) 22:46, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
