Tanisell, who was also nicknamed the Cloaked, was the seventh High Mage of Silverymoon.[1]

Tanisell was elected to the position of High Mage by the citizens of Silverymoon in the Year of the Giant's Oath, 883 DR, and served until the Year of Great Riches, 920 DR, when he died of a fever.[1][2]

He was originally from Ascalhorn.[2]
