Tanya Brock was a human paladin and adventurer of the Weathered Dawn who protected Beckside Castle in Cormyr during the mid-1480s DR.[1][note 1]

Greetings, adventurer, and welcome to the ruins of Beckside Castle.
— Tanya[1]

Description[]

Tanya wore a full suit of plate mail.[1]

Personality[]

Well, there are my companions and I, a dwarf with a shop in the back, and a number of other parties have come and gone. There are more than thirty adventurers here tonight. I have the complete list here…
— Tanya[1]

Tanya was very orderly and responsible, putting all her efforts into "managing" the ruins for the span of days she spent there and trying to make sure everyone was safe and sound.[1]

History[]

When we got here there was a group of adventurers who were very quiet and kept to themselves. They seemed to sleep away most of the day, rousing themselves at dusk. Then yesterday they up and vanished.
I asked a ranger and he said there were no fresh tracks leaving. Still, I'm not sure where they would have gone - the hall leading further into the castle long since collapsed.
— Tanya[1]

Around the time of the Shadovar invasion of Wheloon, Vicas served the Weathered Dawn alongside Vicas Oakleaf. While on the road, they stayed a time at the ruins of Beckside Castle, and decided to apply themselves to making it a safe camping spot for travelers on the High Road. While she noted the appearance and disappearance of certain individuals, she did not suspect that they were actually mercenaries working for Thultanthar infiltrating the ruins. The Shadovar and Harpers forces later fought over a Nether Scroll fragment elsewhere in the ruins, while Tanya stood guard at the front of the ruins, keeping an eye on everyone and greeting new visitors.[1]

Notes[]

  1. Menace of the Underdark (including Web of Chaos) is dated to the period of 14841485 DR, as it references the ongoing Darkening. Shadowfell Conspiracy (including Disciples of Shadow, Shadow Under Thunderholme, The Druid's Deep, and The High Road of Shadows) are dated to the same period, as they are stated to take place at roughly the same time as Menace of the Underdark.
