Telepathy was an evocation spell that allowed a wizard to create a telepathic link with another creature, allowing for two-way mental communication.[1]
Effects[]
For a duration of twenty-four hours, the spellcaster and an affected creature could instantaneously transmit words, sounds, images, and other sensory messages to one another. Whenever the wizard did so, the target would recognize them as being the one telepathically communicating with them. Additionally, creatures with an animal-level of intelligence targeted by the spell would be me capable of understanding the words or other sensory messages being relayed to them by the caster.[1]
Telepathy had an unlimited casting range, though wizards could only target creatures that were willing and that they had previously met at some point. If either party traveled to another plane of existence the spell would end prematurely.[1]
Components[]
In addition to verbal and somatic components, this spell required a material component in the form of a pair of linked silver rings.[1]
