Including redirects?Edit

Not wanting to complain about this magical tool, I just noticed that it does not show redirects that have the respective categories (e. g. compare Gizekhtet/Settlements in Arcadia). Would there be a way to change this with a reasonable effort? (Or should redirects be excluded for a specific reason?) Thanks either way, I love the template. Good question. I'll look into it and see if it's possible to include redirects. If Gizekhtet is just another name for Heliopolis, then shouldn't Heliopolis be put in Category:Settlements? —Moviesign (talk) 20:13, March 18, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks! Gizekhtet is just one part of Heliopolis, and (as far as I can say from memory) is also a settlement, while Heliopolis as a whole should consist (in the Great Wheel cosmology) of three settlements plus space inbetween. Daranios (talk) 16:06, March 19, 2014 (UTC)
Redirects are now included in the results. :) —Moviesign (talk) 00:24, March 20, 2014 (UTC)
Super, great work! :-) Daranios (talk) 15:07, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

Cache problem workaroundEdit

Please read the Template:Category intersection/doc page for examples, usage, and an explanation of the caching problem and a workaround. —Moviesign (talk) 02:19, December 3, 2014 (UTC)

Default Sorts? Edit

I don't think these category intersections consider the DEFAULTSORT. Can this be fixed? ~ Lhynard (talk) 17:28, September 25, 2015 (UTC)

I'm guessing no, but give me a specific example to look at and test. —Moviesign (talk) 19:32, September 25, 2015 (UTC)
For example, if you go to Category:Locations in Tethyr and use the cat. jump link to "Mountains". All the "Mount Foos" should be sorted as "Foo, Mount" and are in the regular category pages.
Thanks for looking into it. ~ Lhynard (talk) 19:37, September 25, 2015 (UTC)
Ok, it seems to sort correctly now. I suspect we did not know the rule-of-thumb about putting DEFAULTSORT at the top of the page when I first tested this. I didn't thoroughly investigate, but if you find anything that is not sorted correctly, first move the DEFAULTSORT to the top of the file. If that doesn't work then you have to set the sortkey in the category itself. —Moviesign (talk) 00:04, September 26, 2015 (UTC)
brilliant; thanks! ~ Lhynard (talk) 00:01, September 26, 2015 (UTC)
