The Grand Historian's Records of the Arts of War was a collection of numerous volumes that recorded all known wars, battles, political abductions, failed alliances, broken treaties, and other similar accords seemings since the written word was discovered. The extensive collection was published sometime before the destruction of the city of Phlan in the beginning of the 14th century DR.[1][2]
History[]
A set of The Grand Historian's Records of the Arts of War was left in Mantor's Library in the city of Phlan as the city fell into ruins during a Rage of Dragons of the Year of Thunder, 1306 DR.[1] The Heroes of Phlan came across the books in the library's history section in the Year of the Lion, 1340 DR, during the campaign to liberate the Old City from its master – Tyranthraxus. One of the volumes shed some light on the history of Tyranthraxus, the Possessing Spirit.[2]
