The Laughing Lass was a cozy tavern in Suzail, Cormyr that transformed into a festhall on warm evenings. The establishment was a popular spot through the 14th century and well into the late 15th century DR.[2][4][3]
Location[]
The tavern was located in the commoners' part of the city, its southeast section. The establishment catered to locals and travelers alike.[4][1]
Interior[]
The upper floors of the festhall were illuminated by perfumed oil lamps. The wait staff staffed the upstairs private rooms, offering ales and foods.[5]
Inhabitants[]
The Lass was frequented by the High Wizard Vangerdahast, although he was careful to disguise his identity. Emthrara Undril, a Harper operative, worked in the tavern as a stripper.[2] Apart from cooks and servers, the festhall employed a number of well-muscled bouncers. The patronage consisted mostly of sailors, sellswords, and adventurers, while War Wizards and Purple Dragon knights were not welcomed here.[6]
