The Purple Portals was a temple and workshop devoted to Gond in Melvaunt,[2][3] one of the oldest temples in all of Melvaunt.[4]
Location[]
The temple was found near the center of the city.[5]
Activities[]
The primary function of the temple was to research and develop improved methods of processing and packaging.[3] Though they also worked to research new methods of construction, insulation, and waterproofing.[2] These ideas were sold to the highest bidder.[3]
An impressive laboratory was used to modify specialized machines.[3] The temple's laboratory and workshop were facilities were open to use by pilgrims. They also offered classes on techniques developed by the temple's High Artificer and his acolytes.[1]
Reputation[]
The temple was held in quite high regard as their research efforts would ultimately benefit the populace as a whole.[3][2] It also attracted many Gondar pilgrims, particularly gnomes.[1]
Trivia[]
The priests of this temple had access to the Gondar artificer Ikathilo's laboratory in Mechanus.[6]
