A thkaerth was a type of woolly[1][2][3] mammal.[4]

Description[]

All you can think about is a human minx with wild eyes and milkbags the size of a thkaerth's!
— Takari Moonsnow refers to Vala Thorsdotter in an argument with Galaeron Nihmedu[4]

These animals were known for their woolly coats[1] and faces.[2] Female thkaerths produced milk, and their mammary glands were sometimes referred to as "milkbags".[4]

Uses[]

I don't have much stomach for thkaerth lately.
— Keya Nihmedu about jerked thkaerth meat[5]

Thkaerth wool was used to make fleecy cloaks,[1] and their cooked flesh was made into jerked meat.[5]

History[]

I'm sure Lord Nihmedu would take a dim view of you kissing something with more wool on his face than a thkaerth.
— Khelben Arunsun to Keya Nihmedu in regards to her relationship with Dexon[2]

In the 14th century DR, thkaerths were known to the elves of Evereska.[4] These elves were known to compare Vaasans to thkaerths due to their large amounts of hair.[1][2] In 1371 DR, Galaeron Nihmedu owned a cloak made of thkaerth wool.[1]
