The Throat Gate was the eastern entry point into lower half of the city of Zhentil Keep during the mid–14th century DR.[1][2]
Location[]
The Throat Trail Gate sat on the eastern side of the Foreign Quarter on the southern bank of the River Tesh. It was situated on the Throat where the road entered the Foreign Quarter to connect with Bridge Street.[1][2]
Defenses[]
The gate was flanked by a pair of guard towers.[1] Ten to fifteen Zhentilar were stationed at each tower.[3][2]
Activities[]
The Throat Gate provided access to the Foreign Quarter from the east for land-based traffic, mostly from Yûlash.[1][2]
