The spell caused a thunderous sound to erupt from the caster, loud enough to be heard from as far as 100 feet (30 meters) and deafening to those standing in the immediate vicinity of the caster. Creatures up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) away could be injured by the loud sound, if unable to resist its effects. The damage increased as the caster grew more powerful.
