Time stop was a transmutation spell that effectively stopped time for everyone except the caster.[4]

Effects[]

When cast, the spell stopped time in a spherical area centered around the caster. The caster could move and act normally within this area but all other creatures or objects are frozen. The spell did not affect creatures who were demigods or stronger. Any creature or object entering this area was also frozen. If the caster left the area, the spell ended.[13]A caster was capable of successfully casting this spell in the phlogiston.[14]

Components[]

The spell only required a verbal component.[2]

History[]

The spell was invented by Netherese arcanist Jeriah Chronos in −2139 DR, who took this achievement as reason to forthwith call himself Chronomancer. The spell was thus originally called Chronomancer's time stop.[1][15]
