Effects[edit | edit source]
The spell could transform an equivalent volume to a cube 40 feet (12 meters) on a side of non-magical rock into a thick flowing mud, that was fluid enough for creatures to sink in. Stone ceilings transformed in this way promptly collapsed, violently crushing creatures under it.
The spell also transformed an equal volume of mud or quicksand into soft stone. Creatures immersed in the mud were trapped in the rock if unable to escape in time, but could still attempt to break through.
