The Treant language, also referred to as Treantish,[1][2][3] was the racial language of treants.[4][5][6]
Speakers[]
Beyond treants themselves, Treantish was a common secondary language among a great variety of creatures with connections to the woodlands. These included hamadryads,[7] forest gnomes,[8][9] kercpas,[10] moon elves, sun elves,[11] wood elves,[11][12] voadkyn,[13] and volodni.[14]
Treantish was also fairly common as a secondary language among most forest-based druids,[15] including those who devoted themselves to certain nature deities.[16][17][18][19][20][21] These included the druids of Chauntea,[16][22] the druids of Eldath,[17] the druids and druid/rangers of Mielikki,[18] the druids of Silvanus,[19] the druids of Sheela Peryroyl,[20] and the druids of Shiallia.[21] Other forms of specialty priests in the Realms for whom Treantish was a commonly known secondary language included the Eldathyn peacemen[17] and the Shiallian woodwives.[21]
