Trilena Stonehill was the co-owner of the Stonehill Inn in Phandalin during the late 15th century DR. She assisted her husband, Toblen Stonehill, in running the inn.[1][2][3] She served as one of the founding members of the Town Council of Phandalin.[3]
Relationships[]
She was married to Toblen and had a son named Pip.[1] She was an active member of the Phandalin community, and was trusted by her neighbors to look out for their welfare.[3]
History[]
Trilena and Toblen were originally from Triboar.[1] They moved to Phandalin following the birth of their son in the 1480s DR.[2]
In 1491 DR,[note 1] Trilena became worried about Phandalin's local bandits, known as the Redbrands. The group had recently killed Thel Dendrar, the only one to stand up to the wicked band. The Redbrands had then taken his wife and children to their hideout. Trilena and her family stayed out of this business, as they didn't want any harm to come to themselves.[1]
When her son, Pip, went missing shortly after, Trilena sought out adventurers to go and find him.[4]
Following Phandalin's decision to elect a Town Council sometime after the Redbrand incident, Trilena was elected to the role alongside Sildar Hallwinter and the former Townmaster, Harbin Wester. She was seen as the representative of her fellow "longtime" residents, who elected her to make sure the council looked after their interests. She was quick to seek out and hire adventurers whenever someone in town disappeared.[3]
By 1496 DR,[note 2] she was no longer a member of the town council and her family found themselves in the middle of a struggle for political power when Harbin Wester, in his capacity as the town's banker, began attempting to take over the Stonehill Inn.[2]

Notes[]
- ↑ Pages 30‒31 of Lost Mine of Phandelver describe the eruption of Mount Hotenow (1451 DR) as occurring "30 years ago", which would place the adventure in 1481 DR. When the adventure was later remade into Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, this 30 year time frame was kept (pages 50 & 53). However, pages 103 and 179 of Acquisitions Incorporated, a source published after the former, state that the events described in the adventure happen five years after both Lost Mine of Phandelver and Princes of the Apocalypse. Since the latter is explicitly set in 1491 DR, and considering this answer by Ed Greenwood about dating the adventure, this wiki will use 1491 DR for events related to both versions of the adventure.
- ↑ Canon material does not provide a year for the events described in Acquisitions Incorporated, but Jerry Holkins answered a question via Twitter and stated the year was 1496 DR. Unless a canon source contradicts this assertion, this wiki will use 1496 DR for events related to this sourcebook.
