Tristopher Chettlebell was a historian and a scholar of Neverwinter who was alive during the late 15th century DR.[1]
Personality[]
Tristopher was somewhat haughty, believing himself to be of exceptional intelligence.[1]
Relationships[]
He had a number of wealthy patrons, including Zami Monini, of the Blacklake Moninis,[1] and Morga Longlived of Waterdeep.[2]
Possessed[]
Tristopher owned a copy of The Annals of Neverdeath, a book that offered significant information in his research about the city's history.[1]
History[]
As a sage, Tristopher tried to record the history of Neverwinter. Circa the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR, he became obsessed with reconstructing the story of the dracolich Azharzel buried somewhere in Neverdeath Graveyard, recruiting the Hero of Sleeping Dragon Bridge to help his research.[1]
Soon after, Trisopher and his patron Zami Monini were venturing into Craftsman's Rest when they were assaulted by dragon cultists. While Tristopher escaped to safety, Lady Monini was not so fortunate and needed to be rescued by the adventurer. The information that Tristopher uncovered proved very useful to the Harper agent Windle, in her group's efforts to thwart the activities of the cult and stop the machinations of the malevolent Valindra Shadowmantle.[1]
