Tsukishima was the main isle of Wa. It was the largest and most densely populated. The terrain was composed by many extinct volcanoes bordered by fertile lowlands. The capital of Wa, Uwaji, was located on the east coast, like most of the major cities.[1]
Etymology[]
"Tsukishima" literally meant "Moon Island" in the Wa-an language.[3][4]
