Turnip Bubbs was a dwarven farmer, displaced by The Absolute, and as a refugee, sought shelter in Baldur's Gate in the late 15th century DR.[1]

You must agree this is ludicrous! How are we meant to survive without our livelihoods?
— Turnip Bubbs[1]

Description[]

Turnip was a stout dwarf with light rosy skin, black curly hair, and a thick black beard perched atop a bulbous nose.[1]

History[]

In the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, an army assembled by the Cult of the Absolute moved from the Moonrise Towers in Chionthar Valley to menace the city of Baldur's Gate, displacing countless refugees in the process along the way. Turnip Bubbs fled to the nearby city of Baldur's Gate with his farm animals. However, all of his and many other farmers' beasts were confiscated by the Flaming Fist mercenaries upon entry to fight famine in the city. Despite being robbed of his livelihood, Turnip was granted entrance to the Lower City of Baldur's Gate, where he was protesting among other farmers near the Basilisk Gate.[1]
