Ulaan was and a servant in the Fortress of the Old Man.[1] She helped wash and clothe Lewan when he was brought in by Sauk after Tarsakh 16 of 1374 DR,[2] and eventually became close with him.
Appearance[]
To Lewan, she was close to his age, maybe a bit older. She had slanted eyes, honey-wax-colored skin, and long raven-eye hair.[2]
Powers[]
As one of the personal Blades of Lady Talieth, Ulaan was trained in fighting.[3]
History[]
Ulaan was sold to Lady Talieth in Almorel around 1364 DR. Her mother had been a servant of a merchant trading along the Golden Way.[4] Ulaan began to get closer to Lewan on the night of Tarsakh 19, during the assassins' vigil; she feigned fear to get into his room, and then seduced him,[5] on the orders of Lady Talieth, who wanted to motivate him to stay in Sentinelspire.[3] She agreed to escape with Lewan during the confusion of Tarsakh 25, and even assisted him in combat[3] but was captured by Chereth, who nearly slew her.[6]
