History[edit | edit source]
Umbrage Hill got its name after two feuding dwarf clans fought a pitched battle atop it. The cause of their umbrage was forgotten by the late 15th century DR, and only the cairns of the dead remained.
Sometime in the late 14th century, a stone windmill was built on the hill, which was inhabited by Adabra Gwynn over a century later. In the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, Adabra Gwynn's home was attacked by a manticore, which had been driven from from its mountaintop nest in the Sword Mountains by the young white dragon Cryovain.
