The Umbrage Hill was a hill located a few miles south of the village of Phandalin. There was a stone windmill on the hill.[1]
History
Umbrage Hill got its name after two feuding dwarf clans fought a pitched battle atop it. The cause of their umbrage was forgotten by the late 15th century DR, and only the cairns of the dead remained.[1]
Sometime in the late 14th century, a stone windmill was built on the hill, which was inhabited by Adabra Gwynn over a century later. In the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, Adabra Gwynn's home was attacked by a manticore, which had been driven from from its mountaintop nest in the Sword Mountains by the young white dragon Cryovain.[1]
