Welcome to the Forgotten Realms Wiki Edit

Hello David, welcome to the Realms Wiki, and best of luck with your Spelljammer Wiki! :) I'll admit I know little of the Spelljammer setting, but we had a short discussion about it in relation ot the Realms in our forum a few days ago, you can find it here if you're interested. -Zerak talk 16:23, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Zerak. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the heads-up on the forum topic. Forgotten Realms did use Spelljammer. (In actual fact there are probably more FR products with SJ references than SJ products with FR references).David Shepheard 17:59, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

I'll be copying Forgotten Realms Wiki policies and templates Edit

I'm largely impressed with the good work that is going on over here and will soon be copying many of the Forgotten Realms Wiki policy pages and template pages over to Spelljammer Wiki to attempt to get that project into a bit of a better state. (At the moment, I'm facing the looming prospect of having to fight off fanon edits.)

I did get invited to do this by Fw190a8, but I'm adding this comment here just in case anyone wonders what is going on. Feel free to ask me any questions. David Shepheard 03:47, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Google Toolbar Button for Forgotten Realms Wiki Edit

I've just created a Google Toolbar Button for Forgotten Realms wiki, but Wikia's settings prevent me from uploading it.

Until I can find out what to do, I've made a subpage in my userpage called User:David_Shepheard/Google_Toolbar_Button. If you have any comments on this button, please add them here. David Shepheard 12:12, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Google Toolbar Edit

I too have a toolbar and I use it for many things... I am constantly looking for new gadgets... is there any way I could access this gadget without you uploading it onto the website? --Andyman1125 14:37, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

There is probably a way for you to take the code on my subpage and paste it into your own copy of Google Toolbar, but (for now) it is probably faster for you to recreate the button from scratch:
  1. Go to any page on the Forgotten Realms Wiki (this page will do),
  2. Click in the search box on the top left,
  3. Right click,
  4. Select 'Generate Custom Search' from the menu,
  5. Change the suggested name and description to better ones and
  6. Decide if you want RSS feed updates (I didn't).
If you use several Wikia wikis, you should be able to generate a Google Toolbar button for every one of them. David Shepheard 15:52, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Alright. Thanks man. --Andyman1125 16:49, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
