Hello Drake, and welcome (again) to the Forgotten Realms Wiki :) Just a few questions to these questions. 1 Citing sources is essential to what we do, it keeps the information on the wiki verified and keeps nonsense off of the pages, see our help page for citing sources. As for the summary/plot section in novel articles - I believe that in the perfect world they should have both - the summary to give people unfamiliar with the book a chance to know the basics of it in a few lines of text that contains no real spoilers for the storyline. And the plot section for a more detailed breakdown of the story, both, of course with references. Hope that helps! Zerak talk 05:35, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

RE:[1], yes you can cite the book itself, example would be {{cite book/The Crystal Shard|122}} which will give you:
R.A. Salvatore (March 2005). The Crystal Shard. (Wizards of the Coast), p. 122. ISBN 0-7869-1606-0.
Hope that helps :) Zerak talk 07:50, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
I would like to welcome you to the wiki too. With regards to your Talk:The Crystal Shard comments on referencing, I second Zerak's message. While it is certain that more people would contribute if accurate citations were not required, we would end up with a very large muddle of information, none of which could be verified. The main question to ask when writing any statement on this wiki is, "if someone claimed that what I'm writing is not true, how could I prove that it is?" That in mind, if you do need any help beyond the Help:Citing sources page, either Zerak or I would be happy to provide it. I hope you enjoy our little community! Fw190a8 01:50, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
