Terror, I just wanted to say I like the Verbeeg pictures you have posted :) It's funny it took me almost 10 years from reading The Crystal Shard to get the joke... one of my players said, "It's a verybig giant, not V-er-beeg" I laughed so hard I had the giant cut his head off *grins* Darkwynters 19:05, September 28, 2011 (UTC)Darkwynters

Terror, I read the Crystal Shard when I was 13 years old... great book!!! Actually, you seem to like Drizzt, I would recommend Homeland... there is lots of Drow in that book :) Darkwynters 18:21, September 29, 2011 (UTC)Darkwynters

Domains Edit

Blades, The Love domain & Civilization domain look fantastic :) You have done a very nice job!!! If you notice, I added something in the references for you :) Darkwynters 17:55, October 14, 2011 (UTC)Darkwynters

Yay :D! Thank you ^^! oohh nice thanks :D!^^ I will start building the others when i have gotten some rest ^^! Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 09:16, October 15, 2011 (UTC)

Re-writes Edit

Blades, do not feel bad... I did the same thing... I went back and edited my info as well... I thought it was suppose to be directly from the text... hey learning is good... Great job on all the pages :) Darkwynters 04:43, October 26, 2011 (UTC)Darkwynters

Wynders, i don't feel bad :P! You did? Yeah the strange thing was that when i heard that i wasn't supposed to just copy it over i remeber this: . Thanks ^^! I'll keep rewriting all the pages when i can ^^! Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 08:25, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

Licence questionEdit

Hi, if the images are from source material then they need to be low resolution and they need to be the only way of illustrating that particular thing, in absence of free images for the same purpose. If that's the case, then the {{Fairuse}} template should be fine for this.  Fw190a8 (talk · contr) 15:43, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

Hello! Thanks for answering ^^! Are there any specific resolution that is wanted or needed? Are the Comics source material? If you haven't sen them here they are: (I don't have all of these tough). Ok Nice thank's ^^! So the fair use images should always come last? But these are Wizards license Comics so they are official.

Old GamesEdit

Blades, I'm also playing Eye of the Beholder... great game... now, it has the same arrow problem as the Menzoberranzan (game)... as for the Pool of Radiance (game)... you just buy arrows and do not get them back... check out this website: [1], the website also has pretty much all the old games, including Eye and Menzo Enjoy! :) Darkwynters 19:17, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Wynters, Really? *ugh* Will i guess I'll just have to get use to it :-/! Well I'm fine with just loosing the arrows it's just the picking up every time after battle because that are no more... Oh and strange useless items like Gold coins :S! Oooh nice, thanks! I'll definitely look at these ^^! I Think I'll tackle the Eye of the Beholder first... Mainly for the similarities and i think those games get voiced text later on... i might be wrong... Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 00:04, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Picture categoryEdit

Blades, I think you should directly ask Hash, Cronje, or FW about your category question :) Darkwynters 20:16, June 25, 2012 (UTC)

Wynters, Yeah hmm... I'll ask Cronje he's really active ^^! Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 19:15, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
Cool :) Darkwynters 19:19, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Past tenseEdit

Ahhh, Blades... first, great images... second, I am not sure we decided to make the creatures past tense... third, ahhh... "were" and "where" do not have the same meaning... perhaps, you should wait on making creature pages past tense until I speak with High Admin BadCat :) Darkwynters (talk) 20:23, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! Awww Damn it sorry! Ok Sadly i did make the last one Past tense... Well should i revers it or should we leave it untill High Admin desides something? Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 20:30, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Blades, let's just wait until BadCat responds :) Please feel free to continue with the pictures... remember this wiki has a lowercase policy, so categories like Images of jugjugs would be lowercase, not Jugjugs :) Darkwynters (talk) 20:37, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

Ok! Ah ok sorry I'm in bit of a "rush" of firing out images :P! What i mean to say is that I'll do it according to the policy from now on! Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 20:45, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
Oh wow... erm... now i see how many "h"'es i missed in the brass dragon page... damn i'm really sorry :(! Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 22:57, June 14, 2013 (UTC)

First, past tense is fine for creatures and most other articles.

Second: Dude, slow down! :) Seriously, you've made so many we can barely keep up. You'll do yourself an injury or something. :)

Please try to concentrate more on the quality of the images. For example, BGII - Creature - Greater Earth Elemental.jpg: it's very small and very dark, and I just cannot see what's the creature looks like. Try to catch clearer images that better show off the creature. Like lighter images, larger images, greater resolution, or images with more space around them so the subject is more clearly defined. Check out game walkthrough and information websites (like PlanetBaldursGate, Gamebanshee, etc.), they often have good pictures of monsters and things in the games. A good size is 250 pixels at least if it's to appear in an infobox, while thumbnails and gallery pics can be smaller, but a slightly larger image is usually fine to give a better view to those who click on it. We try to avoid higher-resolution pics of artwork, but this isn't a problem for game images, as the screenshots are often freely available on the web and game designers like them to be seen in high-res.

Another issue is duplication. Monsters in games are often just slight reskins of other monsters, or different strength monsters of the same type look identical. For example, compare Image:NwN Earth Elemental.jpg and Image:NwN Earth Elemental Elder.jpg: they're exactly the same except one has some fire in its belly. The earth elemental page really only needs one good pic from NWN and one good pic from BG, rather than for every size elemental.

Finally, consider if we really need the image. If we don't have the article or lore for it, then uploading the image may be a bit premature if someone makes the article later and uploads an identical image. Also, game images, particularly if they're limited to small and blurry, often don't tell us an awful lot about the creature. One clear image tells a thousand words, but a lot of murky images don't.

I hope that helps. We appreciate your enthusiasm for this. :)

Hay ^^! hihiih but it was fun I have so many ^^! Yes I'll try and get more light images but in BG and the likes the "lights" can sometimes be hard to manipulate usually it invalves trying to get monsters to run into a well light area.. I'll start looking through whom needs to get improved... Hmm and when it comes to the resolution the game has bigger resolutions that are not supported but they are a option so I have been on the fens about these. I Know one site and a deviant art account that have them in grate and light condition and some are even in animated .gif bug again i don't know about the copyright of images that seam to be taken from the game files of games like BG.
Hmm Ok I'll see about getting the better pics but is that then 1 for BG and one for BGII? If there is one for all the BG games then Id rather take one from the BG:EE Version (The BG:EE versions are always going to be getter then any other BG images unless there is a BG:EE:II). Should we remove the bad once then?
Also about the older game images from the Pool of radience to Azure bonds and Pools of darkness there really small aswell (Exept the images of people that are the size of the fire giant "dialog" image. They are basically dialog icons). when it comes to these there is always light and you can clearly see them but there small The Fire giant Battle vision or bulette battle vision (I hated that i cant seam to get the dialog image for the bulette dont even know if they have one) .
Thank you ^^! I have been gathering for sometime ^^! (And I continue to gather more :D I'll probebly get NWN2 soon and I'll get even more game editor images from there) And before i forget there are more images from neverwinter that are the "Character Images" I havent gatherd these yet and allot of them can be found in the NWN wiki but i dont think they have them all... should i gather these as well? There really really nice ^^! A example is Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 09:51, June 15, 2013 (UTC)

Saw your sandbox. Not certain how you are able to display names on the maps, is it via the editor?

Also, if you have NWN 2, why don't you help me in adding articles? I could use a partner to create articles. Energy X 10:44, June 27, 2014 (UTC)

Actually the name is simple I take a image with the mouse hovering over the point screenshot the image and then copy paste on to the image the names so it took some copypasting boredom.
I can just that I also have some other articles that I want to do and others that I have said that I should do... But sure I'll help I'll make the Blacklake first (It is in all the 3 games along with Merchants district for example). But I'll also try and get more of the games in to the NWN2 articles... Like the Chirch of Tyr... I got this feeling that it's in NWN1... (No luck on temples in NWNMMO)
Also note I haven't finished mask of the betrayer. And I have 171 creature image files, some of them are on the wiki but far from all. Also I don't have "Mysteries of Westgate".
Do you have any specific articles that you want to partner up on?
Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 11:02, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
Huh, didn't think of that, to pair images. I am certain it is beyond my ability. I suppose you could concentrate on locations, since the maps I have do not have those name tags.
Well, the Halls of Justice are named in NWN 1, but in NWN 2 it is Church of Tyr. Considering the new layout of Neverwinter then, it looks like two different structures... I think.
And, while I have completed every expansion of NWN 2, I doubt I'll do them yet, considering the amount of content that needs to be placed. This reminds me, do you play with the thieves of the Watch? I am asking since there are a few characters that appear only if sided with the thieves, so you might help me in that (and I hate doing the same playthrough for that long). Energy X 11:54, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
Well its actually simple just use paint, just encircle the selected part and put it where its supposed to be. Well I'll see what I'll do next right now I want to finnish some other things I have planed... I have just made these 2 maps so far.
Well they might just be... Hmm are they in the same place in Neverwinter 1/2? Dosent seam totally strange that the god of justice would call his temple "Hall of Justice"... Would be like a bane calling one of his temples "Hall of Tyranny".
Well I never did a "Evil" run or thief run of the game...
Terrorblades - This is recorded live at 22:30, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
Well, considering that Castle Never, Moonstone Mask, the Academy and this temple were in NWN 1, perhaps you might be right, even if it is named as Church of Tyr in NWN 2.
Ah, if you have the time and patience, you can play it, but you don't have to if you don't want to. Hm, I'll see what I can do... Energy X 22:36, June 27, 2014 (UTC)

Found thisEdit

Image organizerEdit

Hey, Blades, just wanted to drop you a quick note... great work on organizing the different monster images by edition... it looks wonderful... thank you:) - Darkwynters (talk) 22:37, November 12, 2014 (UTC)

Hihi its my pleasure! Thank you for the appreciation ^^! Also Thank you also for the category organisations ^^! Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 22:48, November 12, 2014 (UTC)

Missing mapEdit

Hiya Terrorblades! I saw that you tried to post an image to the Sword Coast gallery but I don't think it ever got uploaded. You entered "The_Sword_Coast.jpg| A gifted map from gencon 2014." Do you still have that map, or do you know what happened to it? Just curious. —Moviesign (talk) 03:38, December 6, 2014 (UTC)

Hmm I seam to have the map, but I cant remember why it didn't get uploaded. I don't remember the source of the map, I need to find the map source again. Now that I think about ever so often image uploads seam to be halted but it usually comes from when I start posting lots of images, so I figured its just normal :/. Grammar TipsEdit

Here are two pointers to help you with English grammar in articles:

Indefinite Article ("a/an") Usage
This one is often taught: "'A' before a consonant; 'an' before a vowel." This is actually not true. It should be: "'A' before a consonant sound; 'an' before a vowel sound." For example:
  • correct: "a dwarf", "a university of magic", "an honor", "an elf", "an 18-headed pyra"
  • incorrect: "an universal spell", "a herb"
Relative Pronoun ("Who/Whom") Usage
This is one of the rare cases where English is still inflected—though it is dying out quickly. Many English speakers no longer use "whom" at all, but if you are going to use it, here is how to do it correctly. "Who" is only used if it is the subject of a clause; "whom" is used if it has any other noun function in the clause. For example:
  • Correct: "I fell in love with an elf who had blue hair." (The relative clause is "who had blue hair"; "who" is the subject of the clause.)
  • Correct: "I met an elf with blue hair with whom I fell in love." (The relative clause is "with whom I fell in love", which can be rearranged to "I fell in love with whom"; whom is the object of a prepositional phrase.)
  • Incorrect: "I met an elf with blue hair who I loved." (The relative clause is "who I loved", which can be rearranged to "I loved who"; "who" is the direct object of the clause, so it should be "whom".)
  • Incorrect: "I fell in love with a woman with blue hair whom was an elf." (The relative clause is "whom was an elf"; "whom" is the subject of the clause, so it should be "who".) ~User:Lhynard - 23:29, May 23, 2015
Erm... well I'll try and use this correctly, It seams abit complicated :S! When it Comes to "whom" I felt it fitting because of Ed greenwood writing style :S! (And it gives the text more flavour)! Thanks for the helpful tips ^^!
EDIT:Oh and thanks for the A/an things Its seamed off to me on some of the spell articles and I sorta ran with it any way but that explains allot thanks!

Apologies Edit

Hi Terrorblades, Moviesign pointed out that I'd been renaming and editing pages in your user space. I'm really sorry, I wasn't meaning to be rude. I didn't realise it was your user space. I'm still pretty inexperienced at contributing to a wiki and your user page showed up in a category list, so I thought it was an article page. I'll do my best to be more careful. Stabes (talk) 03:27, June 11, 2015 (UTC)

Hay no problem, no harm done, we all learning ;)! Yeah They show up in the lists partly because of my laziness to not add a "Non-wikia" tag. Don't worry about we all make mistakes, especially in the beginning, allot of time its good to ask some one whom might know, especially when things look odd.

So don't worry, just have fun making contributions to the wikia and ask some one if your uncertain about something ;). Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 07:49, June 12, 2015 (UTC)

Suppressing CategoriesEdit

For future reference, if you want to prevent your sandbox pages from showing up in the categories, add nocat=true to the templates that are automatically generating categories. If you're working on spells, this would be the {{Spell}} and {{Spell table}} templates, but it works for most other templates that auto-generate categories. Try it out, and let me know if you have any problems or find something that doesn't work. —Moviesign (talk) 13:04, June 12, 2015 (UTC)

Couldn't I just stuff it all in a "non-wiki" tab? Thank you I'll use it when I make another spell! Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 23:11, June 14, 2015 (UTC)
Yes, you can use nowiki tags, but it won't look like a wiki page. If you surround a {{Spell table}} with <nowiki> tags, you get something like {{Spell table|edition=3e|[[Sorcerer]]|3|[[Wizard]]|3}} instead of a nice table. Likewise with the {{Spell}} template: you would get no infobox at all. —Moviesign (talk) 23:12, June 15, 2015 (UTC)
Sorry forgot to say thank you! But Now I'll start "Sandboxing"Cyrrollalee, how do I add that tag so that she doesn't appear in the deity cat? Also thanks for the adding the sphere I still don't understand where they are in the text? Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 18:15, July 19, 2015 (UTC)
I made the change for you, just remove it when you publish your changes (and any others like from {{Class table}} for example). The spheres are in the description for specialty priests on page 171. —Moviesign (talk) 22:51, July 19, 2015 (UTC)
Ah nice! Thank you! Ahh ok! Btw the pages in my PDF version are different, but I guess that the page numbers in the ref cover the entire Cyrrollalee entry? Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 19:25, July 20, 2015 (UTC)
Page numbers in Demihuman Deities are different in your PDF? Hmm, maybe yours is taken from a different printing than mine? If it's a proper PDF, then it should have the image of the entire page (the page numbers are in the graphics I think). I'll look and see what printing I have when I get home. —Moviesign (talk) 19:30, July 20, 2015 (UTC)
Dont know, mine has Cyrrollalee starting at page 207, and its like a fully digital version not some scanned version... Ohh I hope there is nothing wrong with this ting :S! Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 21:05, July 20, 2015 (UTC)
Movie and I had this same problem before. There definitely is a digital version of Demihuman Deities floating around that is an unofficial bootleg. You can't use its page numbers. ~ Lhynard (talk) 21:57, July 20, 2015 (UTC)
Oh damn it! I guess I'll delete this version and try and find another! Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 22:13, July 20, 2015 (UTC)

Spell template changesEdit

Hiya TB! This is a "heads up" that some minor changes are probably coming to the {{Spell}} template. I'm not 100% sure, but I think type5e will be used for Ritual/Cantrip/Vancian and I may have to get rid of the type parameter, unless I can find a good use for it. The type4e parameter will take over the job of type I think. Anyway, I just wanted you to know because you are entering 5e spells and I don't want to waste your efforts. —Moviesign (talk) 03:26, October 1, 2015 (UTC)

Thank you! So then we put it down on type5e as Vancian and then Cantrip or ritual? Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 17:01, October 1, 2015 (UTC)
No, just one of Ritual, Cantrip, or Vancian. My reasoning is that cantrips do not require a spell slot and can be cast as often as you wish, so they are not Vancian. Rituals do not require a spell slot for certain classes (if I remember correctly) so they are not really Vancian either. Everything else should be marked Vancian, unless someone has a better idea or more specific info. —Moviesign (talk) 17:10, October 1, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that does make sense, I think that rituals require a spell slot but they don't get expended (5e) So that would sorta be like a cantrip right? I'll start fixing my old spells aswell! Thank you! Terrorblades 's Far Realm logs dated 19:00, October 2, 2015 (UTC)
