Lord Varkander Heldruth was the husband of Lady Narnathra Barelder. He was a common-born man and a former seacaptain.[1]

Varkander was married to Narnathra, and they had two children, Braeryl and Maereenra. He and Narnathra had a steady and loving relationship, and he did not object to her romantic companions Lady Laeyalane Tantorn and Lady Cathone Ravenhill.[1]
