Veil was a common spell used by wizards and wu jen.[6]

Effects[]

When cast, the spell allowed the caster to cast an illusion over an area. This illusion was very realistic. The illusion was also physical. The spell could be cast on individuals as well. Only certain spells such as true seeing or true sight would dispel the illusion.[6] A caster could use this spell to disguise or even hide spelljammers.[7]

Components[]

The spell required verbal and somatic components.[6]

Uses[]

Deceiver genies were able to naturally cast this spell once per week.[8]

History[]

The spell was attributed to Netherese arcanist Smolyn in −1934 DR, then called Smolyn's veil.[1]
